Overview
KPV is a tripeptide composed of lysine, proline, and valine, derived from the C-terminal residues 11–13 of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Despite its small size, KPV retains much of α-MSH’s anti-inflammatory activity without engaging melanocortin receptors at typical concentrations.
Research Background
KPV has been studied in research models of intestinal inflammation, colitis, dermatitis, and immune-mediated tissue injury. It is examined in both topical and systemic-administration research designs.
Storage & Handling
