Tesamorelin

Overview

Tesamorelin is a 44–amino acid synthetic analog of human GHRH(1-44) with an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl modification that protects it from cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). It is approved for clinical use to treat HIV-associated lipodystrophy in several countries.

Tesamorelin has been studied in research on the somatotropic axis, body composition, visceral adipose tissue, and metabolic regulation, with particular emphasis on its preferential effect on visceral fat in research populations.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
