Overview

Follistatin 344 (FST-344) is one of the principal splice isoforms of the FST gene, alongside the longer FST-315. It encodes a 344–amino acid glycoprotein that circulates and binds activin, myostatin (GDF-8), and related TGF-β superfamily ligands with high affinity.

Research Background

Follistatin 344 has been studied extensively in research on muscle biology, myostatin pathway pharmacology, and tissue regeneration. It is a leading reference compound for studying inhibition of the activin/myostatin axis.
