Overview

Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, developed within the Khavinson bioregulator research program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It is the synthetic analog of Epithalamin, a complex pineal extract.

Research Background

Epithalon has been studied for its reported effects on telomerase activity, circadian melatonin rhythms, and age-related changes in cellular function. Research has spanned cell culture, rodent models, and small clinical-style observational studies in aging populations.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
