Overview

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), the shortest fully bioactive fragment of the molecule. It functions as a GHRH receptor agonist on pituitary somatotrophs.

Research Background

Sermorelin is widely used in research as a reference GHRH agonist in studies of pituitary function, growth hormone (GH) pulsatility, and the somatotropic axis. It has been examined in models of age-related GH decline, body composition, sleep architecture, and metabolic regulation.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
