Overview

Pinealon is a short tripeptide composed of glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and arginine (Glu-Asp-Arg, EDR). It is part of the Russian peptide bioregulator class developed by Vladimir Khavinson and colleagues, derived from research on pineal-gland-associated peptide fractions.

Research Background

Pinealon has been studied in preclinical models of neuronal stress, hypoxia, oxidative damage, and age-related cognitive change. Research often examines it alongside related bioregulators such as Epitalon, Cortexin-derived peptides, and Vilon.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
