Kisspeptin-10

Description

Overview

Kisspeptin is a peptide product of the KISS1 gene, with multiple biologically active fragments (Kisspeptin-54, -14, -13, and -10) sharing a common C-terminal RF-amide sequence. It is the principal upstream activator of GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus.

Research Background

Kisspeptin is central to research on reproductive neuroendocrinology, puberty onset, and HPG (hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal) axis regulation. It has been studied in models of fertility, hypogonadism, and metabolic-reproductive crosstalk.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
