CAS Number: 1401708-83-5
Overview:
Dihexa is a small-molecule angiotensin IV analog (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6) amino-hexanoic amide) developed for studying hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)/c-Met signaling in neural plasticity research.
Description
Overview
Dihexa is a synthetic peptidomimetic derived from the structure of angiotensin IV (Ang IV). It was developed at Washington State University by Joseph Harding and colleagues as part of research on the angiotensin IV/HGF/c-Met system in cognitive function.
Research Background
Dihexa is studied in research on synaptogenesis, neural plasticity, and cognitive function. Animal model studies have reported potent effects on hippocampal-dependent learning and memory tasks.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
