GHRP-2

Description

Overview

GHRP-2 is a synthetic 6–amino acid peptide (D-Ala-D-2-Nal-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂) belonging to the growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) class. It is used in some clinical settings as a diagnostic agent for assessment of growth hormone reserve.

Research Background

GHRP-2 has been studied as a reference GHS in research on the somatotropic axis, ghrelin receptor pharmacology, and pituitary function. It is used as a comparative compound alongside Ipamorelin, GHRP-6, and Hexarelin.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
