Overview

FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic D-retro-inverso peptide engineered to mimic a region of the FOXO4 transcription factor and competitively block the FOXO4-p53 interaction. The D-retro-inverso architecture (D-amino acids in reverse sequence) confers protease resistance while preserving the relevant binding surface.

Research Background

FOXO4-DRI emerged from work by Peter de Keizer and colleagues identifying the FOXO4-p53 axis as a key regulator of senescent cell viability. It has been investigated in research on cellular senescence, vascular aging, fibrosis, age-related testosterone biology, and senolytic pharmacology.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
