CAS Number: 70470-39-2
Overview:
Vilon is a synthetic dipeptide (Lys-Glu) developed within the Khavinson peptide bioregulator program and studied for its proposed effects on immune function and gene expression.
Description
Overview
Vilon is one of the simplest peptide bioregulators, a dipeptide composed of L-lysine and L-glutamic acid (Lys-Glu, KE). It was originally identified within Thymalin, a thymus-derived peptide preparation, and later synthesized as a defined entity in the Khavinson bioregulator series.
Research Background
Vilon has been studied in research on thymic biology, immune aging (immunosenescence), and short-peptide gene-regulation models. It is examined alongside related bioregulators such as Epitalon (pineal) and Cardiogen (cardiac).
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
