Ipamorelin

Overview

Ipamorelin is a 5–amino acid synthetic peptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂) and one of the most selective ghrelin receptor agonists in the GHS class. It was developed to retain GH-releasing activity while avoiding effects on cortisol, prolactin, ACTH, and aldosterone.

Research Background

Ipamorelin is widely used as a reference GHS in research on the growth hormone axis, sleep architecture, and metabolic regulation. It has been examined in both isolated form and in combination with GHRH analogs such as CJC-1295.

Storage & Handling

Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
