01Product details
Overview
Dihexa is a synthetic peptidomimetic derived from the structure of angiotensin IV (Ang IV). It was developed at Washington State University by Joseph Harding and colleagues as part of research on the angiotensin IV/HGF/c-Met system in cognitive function.
Research Background
Dihexa is studied in research on synaptogenesis, neural plasticity, and cognitive function. Animal model studies have reported potent effects on hippocampal-dependent learning and memory tasks.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Disclaimer:
This product is for laboratory research use only. It is not intended for human or animal consumption or for use in any diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
02Mechanism of action
Dihexa is reported to act as a positive modulator of the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)/c-Met receptor system. By stabilizing or potentiating HGF binding to c-Met, it enhances downstream signaling that has been linked to neurite outgrowth, synapse formation, and cognitive function. Its activity is reported to be substantially greater than that of native Ang IV in research models.
03Research applications
Dihexa is studied in research on synaptogenesis, neuroplasticity, cognitive function, and the HGF/c-Met signaling axis. It is a reference compound in angiotensin IV-derived neuropharmacology research.
