01Product details
Overview
CJC-1295 with DAC is a modified analog of GHRH(1-29) (Sermorelin) with four amino acid substitutions for stability against proteolysis and a maleimidopropionic acid (DAC, Drug Affinity Complex) linker. The DAC group reacts with cysteine 34 of circulating serum albumin to form a covalent bond, extending the peptide’s half-life from minutes to several days.
Research Background
CJC-1295 with DAC has been investigated in research on the somatotropic axis as a tool for studying sustained, rather than pulsatile, GHRH receptor activation. It contrasts with short-acting GHRH analogs such as Sermorelin.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Disclaimer:
This product is for laboratory research use only. It is not intended for human or animal consumption or for use in any diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
02Mechanism of action
After albumin binding, CJC-1295 circulates with a half-life of approximately 6–8 days and continuously engages the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, activating Gs-coupled cAMP signaling. This produces a prolonged elevation in baseline GH and IGF-1 levels in research models — a pharmacological profile distinct from the brief pulses elicited by native GHRH.
03Research applications
CJC-1295 with DAC is studied in research on the somatotropic axis, sustained GHRH receptor activity, body composition, and IGF-1 biology. It is a reference compound for albumin-tethered peptide pharmacology.
