01Product details
Overview
SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule compound developed at Saint Louis University as an agonist of the estrogen-related receptor (ERR) family of orphan nuclear receptors. It activates all three ERR isoforms with preferential potency at ERRα (EC50 ≈ 98 nM), classifying it as a pan-ERR agonist.
Research Background
SLU-PP-332 has been studied in research on metabolic regulation, exercise mimetics, cardiac function, and mitochondrial biology. Animal model studies have reported induction of an aerobic exercise gene-expression program, increased exercise endurance, and protective effects in heart-failure models.
Storage & Handling
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C for long-term stability. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, store at 2–8°C and use within recommended timeframes. Handle under sterile laboratory conditions and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Disclaimer:
This product is for laboratory research use only. It is not intended for human or animal consumption or for use in any diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
02Mechanism of action
SLU-PP-332 binds the ligand-binding domain of ERRα, β, and γ, stabilizing the active receptor conformation and recruiting transcriptional coactivators (notably PGC-1α). This drives expression of genes governing mitochondrial biogenesis, fatty acid oxidation, and oxidative phosphorylation. In skeletal muscle, ERRα-dependent induction of DDIT4 and related exercise-responsive genes is reported.
03Research applications
SLU-PP-332 is studied in research on exercise biology, metabolic regulation, mitochondrial function, and cardiac fatty acid metabolism. It is a leading reference compound for ERR-targeted exercise-mimetic research.
